Hey!,In Savage we have a thing called Dan Patch Days,it celebrates Dan Patch who was a famous horse with a time of 1:55 in his fastest race.Every year they hide a horse-shoe and whoever found it got to ride in a carriage in the Dan Patch Days parade. We are trying to find it, we looked a little bit yesterday, there's clues in our newspaper, the Savage Pacer. The third clue is Remember public property-no digging involved.Use your intelligence to get this solved.1:55 & 442,here I am close to my station, numbers that awed the American nation. My dad said he thought it was in the old Savage Camp, because 442 is the Japanese worriers who came and were at the old Camp Savage. But then there's close to my station and we're not completely sure about that, because where Camp Savage used to be is now completely open land. And in one other clue it said that you could see the train tracks from the spot. You could see the Dan Patch Lines from Camp Savage, but they mean the main ones that go through the city. So today we are going to go to the Savage Library, because they have maps of Savage from a long time a go when the land was different. And about the station my Grandma (who was a long yesterday) thought in might be what is now the Dan Patch Coffee Depot, and which was a train station that it might be there, but its been by there the last like 2 years. So my dad didn't think it was there. So we might find it this year, who knows? (my dad went to the library and there was nothing there)Love,
Carley
